Summary/Objective
CDL/ Warehouse Operator Highly will be safety-conscious with extensive experience in transportation, logistics, and warehouse operations. Proven track record of efficiently managing inventory, loading/unloading shipments, and ensuring on-time deliveries while adhering to DOT regulations and safety standards. Skilled in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and heavy machinery to streamline warehouse workflows. Strong ability to collaborate with teams, maintain accurate records, and provide exceptional customer service. Dedicated to optimizing processes, reducing downtime, and supporting organizational goals with a focus on reliability and efficiency.
Essential Functions: The CDL/Warehouse Operator; essential functions include operating commercial vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations and safety protocols. Responsibilities also involve loading and unloading shipments, verifying inventory accuracy, and maintaining proper documentation for deliveries and warehouse activities. The CDL/Warehouse Operator requires operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to organize and store products effectively. Additionally, the CDL/Warehouse Operator are required to conduct routine vehicle and equipment inspections, performing basic maintenance, and reporting any issues to supervisors.
Responsibilities/Skills/Abilities:
- Drives specified truck to required destination maintaining a priority of law-abiding road safety, always adhering to all DOT regulations and guidelines
- Ability to comply and adhere to FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations)
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Follows any special instructions pertaining to an individual order
- Reports any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate person
- Communicates positively with supervisors, fellow workers, vendors and receivers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up
- Operates a forklift, deep reach fork truck and pallet jacks safely and efficiently, maintains required OSHA PIT certification, performs vehicle safety checks, and reports discrepancies to supervisor
- Responsible for loading and unloading trailer

Secondary Responsibilities:
- Organize and properly store all materials in warehouse by allergen or regulatory requirements. *
- Assist with weekly, quarterly, annual sanitation and basic maintenance.
- Responsible for all standard operating procedures for receiving in-bound and out-bound shipments including unloading/loading trucks, and relevant paperwork.
- Sampling of Raw materials as instructed for incoming shipments. *
- Ensure all Bill of Materials and Invoices match orders.
- Maintain a sanitary workstation & environment. *
- Assist in inventory counts and checks. *
- Assist with weekly, quarterly, annual sanitation and basic maintenance.
- Perform other tasks & duties regarding warehousing & food manufacturing as assigned. *
- Assists in keeping the facility clean, neat, safe, and operating efficiently.

Work Experience Requirements:
- Must have 24 months of verifiable tractor trailer driving experience out of the last 36 months
- All MVR’s must meet minimum qualifications
- No more than two moving violations while operating a personal or commercial vehicle in the last three years
- No felony traffic violations while operating a personal or commercial vehicle in driving history
- No preventable accident resulting in fatality or catastrophic injury in driving history
- The preventability of any accidents will be determined by The Food Source International, Inc. Based on the National Safety Council Guidelines.
Education/Knowledge Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid and current Class A CDL
- Current DOT medical certification for a period of at least one year
- Must be at least 24 years old
- Completed without omissions a DOT employment application
Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Supervisory responsibilities: None
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. on an intermittent basis throughout the day
- Must be able to sit while driving a truck or material handling equipment for 4-8 hours per day.
- Must be able to stand and walk for 4-8 hours per day.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment on concrete flooring and in varying temperatures.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays depending on the needs of the customer.
Work environment/Hours:
- Brand New- State of the Art Blending Facility
- Ability to operate forklift & pallet jacks,
- Equipment type: scales, blenders, metal detection, pallet jack, forklift, deep reach forklift, 80,000 GVW tracker trailer, and other manufacturing equipment
- Must be able to lift 55lbs or greater
- Must be able to stand/climb ladders
- Full-time, Office hours are typically 8:30-5:00pm, Monday-Friday with occasional overtime.
Travel— frequent travel time is expected for the position to local facilities in PA, NJ, DE, and MD.
