Accounting Clerk
Join Our Accounting Team!
We are seeking an entry-level Accounting Clerk who is ready to gain hands-on experience and build a strong foundation for a career in accounting. In this role, you will support the finance department with day-to-day tasks while gaining exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and more. This position is ideal for someone eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Success in this role requires being a team player with excellent organizational and communication skills, focused on supporting the finance department and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
What You Will Do
- Create and process customer sales invoices
- Manage the Accounts Payable email inbox and route invoices for approval
- Perform basic data entry and administrative tasks
- Assist with payroll processing and reporting as needed
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Reconcile account balances and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- File, scan, and organize financial documents
- Provide general support to the accounting team with day-to-day operations
What We Are Looking For
- 0–2 years of accounting or office experience (internships or coursework a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to retain information, balance multiple responsibilities, and collaborate effectively
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) preferred
- A motivated, eager-to-learn team player

Education/Knowledge Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Completion of relevant courses or certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper, QuickBooks Certification) a plus
Physical Requirements
- Work involves sitting most of the workday greater than 50% of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
- Typing and applying pressure with the fingers and palm required.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
- Ability to retain and interpret data to improve processes.
Work Environment/Hours
- Routine office setting, with occasional warehouse visits where temperatures and noise levels may vary
- Hybrid schedule: in-office 2–3 days per week, based on need
- Full-time hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional overtime
