Logistics Coordinator

Position Purpose:
The Logistics Coordinator will focus on the safe and timely transportation of our manufactured seasonings, flavor systems and ingredients to both our internal and external customers. In addition, the individual will be expected to analyze current logistics systems, carriers and procedures in order to identify and implement cost savings measures. The individual will be expected to communicate daily with our production facilities, warehouses, vendors, customers and carriers. The individual must be a confident, self-driven, results oriented, creative logistics professional that strives to work in an energetic and collaborative environment that offers the potential for uncapped growth.

• Dispatches freight movement to appropriate transportation company’s in order to meet customer’s expectations.
• Communicates, answers inquiries and provides documentation to customers, transportation company’s and shipping facilities.
• Ability to understand and operate in all areas of the logistics operation.
• Support the logistics team with daily reconciliation of all related documentation.
• Support keeping the Transportation Management System updated. Execute the daily reconciliation of carrier invoices and assist with the freight
approval process.
• Manage the daily activity to ensure customer expectations are achieved or exceeded. Participates in a “customer centric” culture within the
• Confirm the proper documentation has been received and properly completed for all shipments.
• Communicate with key stake holders including carriers, brokers, customers and internal departments. Proactively work with the entire TFS team
to assist in problem resolution.
• Ability to use computers, software and other technology for transportation, inventory and communication purposes.
• Effective time management, prioritization and multitasking skills.
• Records service performance of carriers in TMS in order to produce service reports and other KPI’s.
• Working closely with the 3rd party logistics provider to manage operational cost to service on Freight.
• Immediately notify internal customers to any service failures and supply possible solutions.
• Become proficient in all logistics process and provide cross functional back-up support for logistics team.

Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in supply chain or related field of study.

Work Experience Requirements:
• 2 years of experience in logistics, customer service or related field within an office environment.
• Proficient working with Microsoft products and, Google Docs.
• Transportation management systems experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:
• Work involves sitting most of the workday greater than 50% of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
• Typing and computer focus required.

Salary: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
